The role fits into the HW-development process on levels Mockup/Prototype/AlphaSeries.
t works closely together with the development engineers (HW but also SW) and the verification department.
It handles system elements (function blocks), PCBA-integrated functions and complete devices. Main focus are embedded electronics. The verification tasks focus on HW, partly supported by test-SW. (SW is used as tool but will not be verified by this role). SW-tools (i.e. Python) are used to stimulate the devices.
Requirements:
- Analysis of requirements & Design, derive testcases
- Test documentation, procedures, plans
- Execute and document tests on function block, PCBA-level, device level
- Support design engineer in debugging / failure analysis
- Organise and build up PCBA & devices
- Commissioning of HW/SW
- Organise, define and execute EMC testplans mainly on device-level. Document in test-reports
- Knowledge to understand embedded systems (HW+SW)
- Application knowledge, not design.
