Job Details

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Technical Associate in Basel.

 

General Information:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Latest Possible Start Date: February 1, 2025
  • Planned Duration of Employment: Temporary unlimited contract via Randstad
  • Location: Basel
  • Workload: 90-100%
  • Home Office: Up to 20% possible
  • Working Hours: Standard
  • 24/7 Site Access: Yes

 

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance / Calibration / Upkeep of all small and large systems in Pharmaceutical Development (Pilot Plant and Laboratories)
  • Scheduling maintenance with equipment manufacturers / certification bodies
  • Supervising on-site maintenance personnel
  • Documenting maintenance in maintenance software
  • Archiving all existing and new system documents
  • Coordinating repairs with local engineering / workshop
  • Troubleshooting / adapting systems to new processes
  • Overseeing monitoring of TKS / sterile rooms
  • Managing the entire equipment lifecycle of all “qualified systems”
  • CAPEX - Supporting the procurement of new process systems
  • Ordering services / materials related to process systems
  • Ensuring the compliance of systems and laboratory equipment in Pharmaceutical Development with applicable verification SOPs
  • Reverification of new systems
  • Inventory management in local systems
  • Equipment Change Control
  • Training employees on new systems / changes to existing systems
  • Troubleshooting
  • Scheduling, shutdown of analytical equipment and manufacturing systems

 

Must Haves:

  • Either completed vocational training in laboratory technology, mechatronics, or a comparable field with at least 5 years of practical experience in a manufacturing, GxP-regulated company
  • Or a completed degree in a technical or scientific field (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc.)
  • Experience in plant qualification, plant design, or production support is advantageous
  • Experience in the qualification or validation of systems and equipment is advantageous
  • Experience with SAP, VEEVA is advantageous
  • Fluent in German and English is required
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities
  • Experience in interface communication is advantageous, particularly with internal customers and external service providers
