Job Details

For one of our clients, and international pharma company in Basel, we are looking for a Genetics & Genomics Lab research associate.

In this role you will play a key role in the development and implementation of genomic assays for biomarker analysis in both pre-clinical and clinical settings. Your primary responsibility will be hands-on laboratory work, driving innovation and advancing our understanding of genetic and genomic mechanisms in support of therapeutic development.

General Information:

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and implement genetics and genomics-based biomarker assays (e.g., epigenetics, SNVs, CNVs, gene expression signatures, circulating DNA/RNA) to support pre-clinical studies and early-phase clinical trials, characterizing pharmacodynamics and mechanisms of action for novel therapeutics.
  • Evaluate and apply cutting-edge genetics and genomics technologies (e.g., single-cell sequencing, spatial-omics, ddPCR) to maximize insights from limited and valuable pre-clinical and clinical samples following GCP standards
  • Deliver high-quality biomarker data to project biology and biomarker teams, ensuring impactful contributions to therapeutic development.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) regulations in all laboratory and operational activities, contributing to a safe and sustainable research environment.
