Randstad Digital Switzerland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Governance Specialist for a 5-month contract in Geneva. This is an exciting opportunity to work on-site with a prestigious international organization (WIPO) and play a key role in establishing and implementing best-in-class data governance frameworks.

As a Senior Data Governance Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring data integrity, compliance, and usability, while aligning data governance initiatives with critical business objectives. You will report to the Chief Data Officer (CDO) and collaborate with various stakeholders to drive data governance excellence.

Your Mission:

• Analyze and Enhance: Assess current data governance maturity, identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and Implement Frameworks: Design and implement structured data governance frameworks tailored to the organization's needs, defining data ownership, accountability, and stewardship.
• Ensure Data Quality and Compliance: Provide governance around metadata management, data quality, and data lineage tracking. Ensure integration with existing IT, security, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
• Enable AI/ML Readiness: Establish data governance processes that enable AI/ML adoption, ensuring data accessibility, trustworthiness, and ethical use.
• Strategize and Plan: Design a long-term data governance strategy aligned with business objectives and develop a detailed implementation roadmap.
• Create and Enforce Policies: Develop and implement data governance-related policies and guidelines, including a Data Quality Policy and governance practices for AI/ML readiness.
• Educate and Communicate: Develop and conduct data governance training programs, create comprehensive documentation, and establish communication strategies to promote awareness and adoption.

Your Profile:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in data governance and management.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing enterprise-wide data governance strategies, policies, and roadmaps.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata, and master data management (MDM) standards.
• Proven expertise in data architecture and integration.
• Experience in cloud data governance (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in English.
• Ability to train and lead organizational change efforts in data governance.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Expertise in data governance frameworks such as DAMA DMBOK, DCAM, or EDM Council Standards.
