Lab Cleaner/Technician.

For our client, a leading international pharmaceutical company, we are looking for a Lab Cleaner/Technician. 

Background: 

The Research & Development Services team leads the management of R&D laboratories and associated equipment to ensure the safety, compliance and smooth operations of local R&D laboratories.

Your Profile: 

The perfect candidate: is physically capable of handling tasks such as lifting heavy waste bins and working with potentially infectious biological material. Proficient in MS Excel and Google Suite, with B2-level skills in both German and English, is organized, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.

• Duration: 12 months with extension possibility 
• Workplace: Rotkreuz
• Workload: 80–100%
• Remote/Home Office: Not available
• Working hours: Standard
• Not required: No higher education degrees (BSc, MSc, PhD) are necessary for this role

Tasks & Responsibilities: 

• Managing, overseeing, and executing the following in their assigned 

Primary tasks: 

• Regularly cleaning the laboratories according to the hygiene plan.
• Managing waste collection and disposal.

Secondary tasks: 

• Managing lab coats, including ensuring adequate supply, collection, and cleaning.
• Operating and monitoring dishwashers, drying furnaces, and autoclaves.
• Maintaining stocks of common lab consumables.
• Supporting pipette calibration.
• Participating in on-call services for CTU excursions.
• Cleaning the dry ice area.

Must haves: 

Willingness to work in the following conditions:
• Physical requirements include standing, bending, and lifting heavy waste bins
regularly
• Work with potentially infectious biological material
• Proficient with MS Excel and Google suite
• German and English at B2 Level
• Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Team player, self organized and motivated individual
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Nice to haves: 

• Hep B vaccination (can also be provided by the client)
• Relevant experience as a cleaner or laboratory
