Automation Engineer - Recipe Lead (MES Syncade)

Lonza is at the forefront of innovation in bioprocess automation, and we are looking for an Automation Engineer - Recipe Lead to join our Global Engineering team in Visp. This role will focus on developing and optimizing recipes in Emerson MES Syncade, ensuring seamless integration of production processes in a regulated environment.

As an Automation Engineer - Recipe Lead, your main duties will include:

  • Supporting and aligning product and production-specific requirements in collaboration with project teams.
  • Designing, testing, and modifying recipes under change control during the design, start-up, qualification, and production phases.
  • Ensuring the creation and maintenance of cGMP-compliant documentation (eBRs, SOPs, operating regulations, etc.).
  • Continuously improving procedures and processes to meet safety, hygiene, environmental, and quality standards.

    Requirements:

    • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in recipe authoring and troubleshooting in Emerson MES Syncade.
    • Expertise in bioprocess automation systems.
    • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to identify operational optimization opportunities and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
