How is the BVG deduction calculated?
For more information on swissstaffing, the contribution amount and calculations please check the document here.
-
((gross salary + holidays + 13th salary) divided by the number of hours) minus coordinated salary (CHF. 11.75 in 2023) = hourly salary submitted to BVG. Maximum 28.60.
-
BVG hourly wage times number of hours worked = wage submitted to BVG
-
BVG salary times the % due to the employee's age = BVG deduction":
18 – 24 = 0.875%
25 – 34 = 4.375%
35 – 44 = 5.875%
45 – 54 = 8.375%
55 – 65 = 9.875%
The maximum and minimum amounts as well as the coordination amount change with each BVG adjustment. They are recorded by swissstaffing 2nd pillar foundation in tempdata and published in good time in each case."

When and where will my employee’s vested benefits (capital) be transferred after the end of the contract?
After the end of a contract, Realistor waits 3 months before informing swissstaffing that the employee has left. This is mainly because most employees come back within 3 months. After SwissStaffing has been informed, they ask the former employee what should happen to the vested benefits. The employee must ask the new employer for the details of his BVG foundation and send them to swissstaffing. If the employee does not respond, the vested benefits will be transferred to the Substitute Occupational Benefit Institution within 6 to 9 months.
