Senior System/Product Engineer in System Integration (m/f/d)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System/Product Engineer for a leading role in System Integration within our client's R&D department. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team in Rotkreuz, working on complex blood gas analysis systems. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects, troubleshoot intricate systems, and drive development in a collaborative environment.

Start Date: 01.10.2024 (latest 01.01.2025)
Duration: 3 years (extension likely)
Location: Rotkreuz
Workload: 100%
Remote Work: Up to 1 day per week


Tasks:
  • Troubleshoot and analyse complex blood analysis systems, considering all aspects of measurement technology, hardware, software, and fluidics.
  • Develop and implement solutions to address issues, focusing on business and production requirements, in collaboration with various disciplines (electronics, mechanics, software, sensor process development).
  • Commission and integrate complex devices and systems during the development phase, applying Systems Engineering methods (IV&V).
  • Specify and develop measurement and analysis tools, including software and test systems, in cooperation with internal and external partners.
  • Document and maintain knowledge regarding system and fluid control, as well as the robustness and reliability of complex systems and their components.
  • Provide detailed documentation as part of the development and change control processes.
  • Take responsibility for a project or product within interdisciplinary collaboration.

Must Haves:
  • A degree in Mechatronics or a related engineering field.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in the development, integration, and testing of complex measurement and automation systems.
  • Proficiency in coding (Python, C++) for device and system control, data processing, visualization, and analysis of large and complex datasets.
  • Strong skills in Mechatronics/Mechanics and Electronics, with a preference for experience in plastic injection molding.
  • Expertise in documenting complex processes within regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with programming and managing databases.
  • Strong organizational skills and methodological abilities for analyzing and presenting complex issues, especially in team settings.
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of teamwork capability for working in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary R&D teams.
  • Fluent in English (required) and preferably fluent in German (spoken and written).

Nice to Haves:

Experience in developing in-vitro diagnostic systems or biochemical analysis systems, particularly with biological samples and chemical analyses.
