Are you a skilled procurement professional with experience in supply chain management and engineering? We are looking for a Procurement Engineer to join our client in the electrical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement engineering for multiple teams developing new interrupters and circuit breakers.
  • Ensure parts for prototypes are available on time, with the right quality and at competitive prices.
  • Manage supplier selection, technical evaluations, and design reviews.
  • Support project teams in maintaining material availability, cost management, and part qualification activities.
  • Collaborate with global and regional category managers to develop supplier strategies.
  • Minimize supply risk through multiple sourcing of critical materials.

Your Background:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or Supplier Quality Engineering.
  • Experience in switchgear or electrical transmission is a plus.
  • Familiar with New Product Development and product development tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP).
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma and 8D.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in both German and English (written and verbal).
