Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Manager
60-80% Position

Reporting to: Head of Rare Diseases & Medical
 

    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as a medical-scientific expert for products and services, establishing and maintaining communication with stakeholders (clinics, hospitals, specialists).
    • Support product and therapeutic area development by collaborating with key clinics and ensuring patient care.
    • Gather strategic information from specialists and provide scientifically sound solutions.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key centers and opinion leaders in Switzerland.
    • Continuously update expertise in the therapeutic area and optimize it through symposia, advisory boards, and workshops.
    • Implement scientific projects and collaborate with internal and external partners.
    • Support medical information and drug safety within the medical department.
     

    Key Activities:

    • Act as the main contact for specialists and medical staff in hospitals and specialized centers.
    • Spend most of the time with customers to inform and support them for optimal patient care.
    • Identify and collaborate with suitable centers and specialists for product development.
    • Ensure compliance with internal guidelines in partnerships.
    • Present medical and scientific facts using the latest study results and develop new materials for specialists and patients.
    • Manage scientific projects from planning to implementation, working with partners to expand product use.
    • Answer spontaneous inquiries and provide information on products in development.
    • Understand market needs and develop customer-specific solutions with the team.
     

    Requirements:

    • Degree in medicine, pharmacy, or natural sciences (biology, biochemistry) or extensive pharmaceutical sales experience.
    • Experience in the medical-scientific field (e.g., Medical Advisor, Medical Science Liaison, CRA) is preferred.
    • Knowledge in pulmonology or cardiology is advantageous.
    • Experience in prescription drug sales and existing network with relevant physicians is desirable.
    • Good understanding of the Swiss healthcare and reimbursement system, including Article 71.
    • Ability to interpret clinical data and present complex information effectively.
    • Project management skills and market-oriented mindset.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, independent work, creativity, negotiation skills, and teamwork.
    • Fluency in German and English; good knowledge of French.
