Randstad Digital Switzerland is seeking an experienced Java Application Support Specialist to join our team. You will work within the External Systems Development Support Team, contributing to the monitoring, support, and smooth operation of external facing applications critical to our business operations. Key Responsibilities:
System Monitoring & Maintenance:
Oversee the daily operation of external business applications, ensuring optimal performance and system availability.
Establish, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot complex information systems processes and critical events.
Conduct recovery exercises and coordinate with stakeholders as needed.
Software Development & Testing:
Develop, maintain, and debug external applications in Java.
Perform unit, system, and integration testing, and assist users with user acceptance testing.
Process Optimization & Documentation:
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide technical support and guidance to end users, diagnosing and resolving issues.
Escalate complex problems and implement solutions for continued system improvements.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
Proven hands-on experience (8+ years) in developing, maintaining, and supporting Java applications.
Experience with AWS Fargate, Docker, Linux environments, and configuration management.
Strong knowledge of Bamboo, Tomcat, Wildfly, CI/CD pipelines, relational databases, and SQL languages.
Proficiency in scripting (bash or other scripting languages).
Problem Solving & Attention to Detail:
Exceptional troubleshooting skills with a proactive, problemsolving attitude.
High attention to detail with the ability to handle complex technical scenarios.
